the reason for this is the fear of the dentist, this means that you dont want to go sooo mutch that your body stops the pain

I call this “Threat Therapy.” You finally threaten to do something and the toothache goes away.
This goes hand in hand with what I call “The Magical Curative Power of the Threshold,” where merely stepping over my office threshold makes the tooth all better.
This falls under the same law that makes a rattle in your car go away when you go to the mechanic.

Well, it happens all the time. I have the same trouble with sounds in my car. No sound when I take it in for a check up. lol. If your tooth really has a problem an xray will pick it up. Sometimes a tooth will be traumatized by clenching and grinding during stressful times in your life. It may hurt for a few days, the stress is lessened, you clench less, the pressure on the tooth is lessened and then the pain goes away. Believe me, if the tooth has a problem, the pain will come back.

I think its psychological. Kind of like when your head starts itching when someone you know says they have lice.
