how many have been rolling in pain with toothache up untill the day your due to go to the dentist.. then all of a sudden poof its gone ..
the reason for this is the fear of the dentist, this means that you dont want to go sooo mutch that your body stops the pain
I call this “Threat Therapy.” You finally threaten to do something and the toothache goes away.
This goes hand in hand with what I call “The Magical Curative Power of the Threshold,” where merely stepping over my office threshold makes the tooth all better.
This falls under the same law that makes a rattle in your car go away when you go to the mechanic.
one of life’s little ironies. kind of like when i make an appointment for a haircut b/c i just can’t stand it anymore. the day of the appt. i have a great hair day. go figure.
Well, it happens all the time. I have the same trouble with sounds in my car. No sound when I take it in for a check up. lol. If your tooth really has a problem an xray will pick it up. Sometimes a tooth will be traumatized by clenching and grinding during stressful times in your life. It may hurt for a few days, the stress is lessened, you clench less, the pressure on the tooth is lessened and then the pain goes away. Believe me, if the tooth has a problem, the pain will come back.
fear kicks in and you go numb!!!!!!!
the same exact thing happened to me all month long
I think its psychological. Kind of like when your head starts itching when someone you know says they have lice.
your scared that much that the pain disappears lol
It’s known as Murphy’s Law.
