I have really bad teeth and I know, I need to see a dentist asap. But until then. Which is better for toothache pain Ibuprofen 800mg or Naproxen 500mg? BTW, I’m 36.

Naproxen should work better for you but don’t take it on an empty stomach.

They are both the same thing. One is 800mg the other is 500mg, for a tooth your best bet is seeing a dentist and getting antibiotics. Most tooth aches are infections and you take an oxycontin 80mg and it still not going to take the pain away.

Ibuprofen 400mg every 4 to 6 hours would be enough for a toothache, 800mg is too much and has greater risk to have side effects.
