my boyfriend has craters in his mouth because his molars were rotting, and he hasn’t had the money to go to the dentist since last year. He is able to go but hasn’t been able to schedule an appointment until tomorrow, but he is in horrible pain now. He has already taken 4 ibuprofen today and just took two Acetaminophen and I can’t find any home remedies that don’t work. We’ve tried to numb it by hot and cold, but he can’t have liquids so half the cures we found are of no use. Any suggestions?

If for 3 years there is no pain only here & there like every 7 months & thats only for a few mins then is this infection serious? does it mean it hasnt spread to jaw or anywhere, can the dentist know where the infection has spread by an x-ray?

I recently had a root-canal done on tooth #31 (a molar). The insurance is covering the root-canal process but not the crown. I had to get the root-canal, I had no choice. How long can I go without getting the crown? The crown is very expensive and my insurance is maxed out for the year. The dentist recommended no more than 2 months. Can I push this longer? My insurance will cover the process until after October 1, 2009 (7 months from now).

Due to money problems we can not get to a dentist right now. Tylonol, ibprofene and codine are not working. Crushed asprin does not help either.

I must leave the country for several months right after the root canal. The doctor said it’s OK to fly right after this procedure, but how many months can I actually stay without risking to lose my tooth? Thanks!

The whole left side of my face hurts and I can’t sleep the pain in my teeth is so bad. I can feel a large hole in my top molar too. Right now I have no insurance and the pain is just killing me to the point where I can’t even eat or sleep.
What’s the best way for me to get a perscription for antibiotics? Would I be able to just walk into a community clinic (or at least with an emergency appointment) and get a perscription or do I have to see a professional dentist to diagnose the infection before I can get it? I know the cavity needs to be taken care of, but right now I just need to relieve the pain until I can obtain dental coverage.

I can’t afford to go to the dentist at the moment, and I have an abscessed tooth. It doesnt hurt alot but my mouth is really swollen. How can I either get rid of the abscess, or make she swelling go down?
