hello,
I had a silver filling, and a bit of enamel chipped directly over it, exposing some of the silver parts (so silver not exposed in two areas), and this morning all of the sudden it started to be very sensitive to liquids. Does this mean I need a root canal?
could it be just a galvanic effect from the two exposed areas of the same filling?
Hiya,
My boyfriend has broken his tooth and is in a lot of pain. We live in London and finding an NHS dentist is hard so he has a private dentist.
At the moment we have no money though so he cannot afford to go there.
Is a broken tooth treated as an emergency? I know there are emergency dental places but obviously we still have to pay – is there anyway he can be treated and we can pay back in installments or the like?
Thanks.
I sometimes get a pain that comes and goes, after drinking alcohol(the day after). It never seems to bother me any other times.Im going traveling in Februay and need all the money i can save, so dont really want to comit to root canal surgery now if i dont need to!
When would a dentist recommend an onlay and when would a dentist recommend a root canal? If tooth decay is not treated, would it result in a root canal? I understand it makes sense to preserver the existing tooth, but cost wise, which is more effective – an Onlay or a Crown?
My face hurts!
can they be ordered online
I’m just wondering when a dentist decides to do a root canal, what is he generally seeing?
I have a pretty bad cavity that I think will probably need a root canal. I don’t want to waste time or my insurance going to a regular dentist just to have them tell me to go somewhere else. Should i just got to my oral surgeon or what?
Friday morning I had a cavity filled. The dentist said that it was deep and I might need a root canal if it hurts afterward. My question is: how long after will the pain appear or some other indication that I need a root canal done? It is now Monday afternoon and the tooth feels no different than before the cavity was filled (no pain or increased sensitivity, etc.). Am I in the clear?
I had a root canal done about 4 years ago and now it’s hurting. The pain is the same pain as when I first discovered I needed a root canal. I’ve been taking advil every time the pain was present. How much would it cost to remove the root canal here in California?
