So i have a root canal tomorrow (23rd) but the thing is my insurance ends on the 31st of this month. Any way that i can still get the crown in time?
I’m just curious what are differences and why would you get a crown over a root canal or a root canal over a crown? Which is better? Thank-you!
I was given a quote to get some fillings, a root canal and a crown. The fillings range from $215 – $272. The root canal is $1,168. The high noble crown is $1,115. Those are their regular prices. I presented my discount card and it reduced the prices by half. So, the fillings would cost around $88 – 115. Root canal – $ 584 and the crown $700.
My parents thought that they raised their regular prices on purpose to make my discounted prices seem reasonable compared to the regular price. Am I getting ripped off or are these prices reasonable?
Had an old crown removed, tooth reshaped and new crown put. Now am in pain – toothache, headache, ear ache down to my shoulders. Ibuprofen 400mg does the trick but what is going on? The pain started a week ago when the temporary was put in and is continuing today after my permanent was put in. Tried telling the dentist, but he insists it is sensitivity and nothing else. What do you think? Do new crowns take a while to settle in and do they cause pain in the beginning?
The original root canal was done over 5 years ago. The crown fell off recently while eating pancakes. I was told that there was a cavity under the porcelain crown that runs under the gum line, about 9 months ago. Could that be why the crown fell off? How is that going to be fixed? Will I have to pay for another root canal and crown? Would they pull it? I don’t know cause there is one tooth missing right above it. Any ideas?
I recently had a root canal and was told I would have to wait three weeks before getting things started with the crown. In the meantime while waiting for the first root canal to heal, I was told I would need a second root canal. Can I get things started with the first crown or should I wait until the second root canal heals and do both crown fittings at the same time?
I got a root canal last week and its almost all healed. The dentist just put putty over top of it. Do I need to go get my temporary crown as soon as possible or can I wait a while? I ask because its $670 and they want it all at once.
I have an appointment for a root canal coming up and my dentist said I’m also gonna need a crown after the root canal. The root canal is gonna cot me $500 and the crown is an additional $550. I was wondering if I can wait a little bit before getting the crown done or is it important to get it done right away.
