its one of the teeth in the back not the last but the one before on my lest side. it used to hurt when i chew but i didn’t really care coz other than that my teeth are looking good and i brush my teeth 3times a day, but today i was eating beef jerky and well 1/4 of that tooth broke off, it doesn’t hurt not even when i chew so should i be worried?

i went to the e.r. and they said that i needed an oral surgen to remove it.I was just wondering if any one ever had this happen to them and if so what to expect from this procedure.
