I had a root canal about a year ago, and I was just wandering what the black line was at the gum line right below the crown. I have been to the dentist several times for regular cleanings since this procedure, so I assume that it is normal. Will it ever go away?

My tooth has been broken a couple of months due to a filling which came out.
What should I expect at the dentist? Slightly nervous..
