Is Your Mouth Supposed To Hurt A Week After A Root Canal?

I got a root canal on Saturday and the tooth doesn’t hurt anymore but where they gave me the numbing shots I have sores and swelling on the inside of my cheeks! Ouch! Can anything make them go away?

I had this same problem just recently, swish some warm salt water in your mouth then spit every so often maybe once or twice a day. It helped me and I hope it works for you.

The same thing happened to me. I suggest if it really continues to hurt to go to the Emergency Room, just to ensure you are okay. They will only make sure it is not infected and if needed, give you a higher dose of swelling medication.
Usually swelling means infection. This is why it is very urgent you watch it. If your whole cheek is swollen, then it is obvious that there is something going on in the tooth, regardless if it hurts or not. Either check with your local dentists or root canal specialist and make sure everything is okay.

It should be uncomfortable but if you have sores you might want to see your regular Dentist and to have him/her check everything out
