Reoccurring infections are not good for your body. They can cause infections in your heart, called bacterial endocarditis. If you have a broken tooth you either need to have a root canal and crown or have the tooth extracted. Don’t leave it in there and keep treating it with antibiotics. The medicine is just covering up the problem and it is not healthy to take antibiotics repeatedly over long term.

The infection is spreading to your blood stream. I have had two broken teeth that I could not afford at the time to go to the dentist. I kept getting infections about every 2-3 months because food and bacteria would get into the tooth and cause infection ( even if you brush your teeth). Finally, it got so painful I went to a dentist and they pulled both the broken teeth out. It cost about $69.00 dollars a tooth. I would call around to local dentists, see what they charge for an extraction, and just get it pulled. You don’t want the infection to become a staff infection and land you in the hospital. That will cost thousands or could kill you. Take my advice. Get it removed! Many Dentists will work with you on payments if you tell them in advance you need help.

Go to the dentist and get the tooth fixed. Trust me on that one. Broken teeth can become very very costly, not to mention life threateningly dangerous, if you don’t just get them taken care of.
