THIS IS A VERY GOOD QUESTION,
A ROOT CANALED TOOTH WITH A CROWN TO PROTECT IT SHOULD LAST FOR THE LIFE OF THE TOOTH IN THE MOUTH, WHICH MAY BE EASILY SEVERAL DECADES,
THE TOOTH MAY NEED TO BE RE-TREATED BECAUSE #3 HAS 3 ROOTS WITH A POSSIBLE 4 CANALS, FOUND IN THE FRONT ANTERIOR ROOT. IF THIS IS MISSED THE FIRST TIME THE PAIN LINGERS UNTIL IT’S TREATED.
THE ROOT CANAL CAN BE DONE THOUGH THE BRIDGE W/O REMOVING IT OR HAVING TO EVER REPLACE IT.

Root canals don’t have a period of time to last or not to last. It has nothing to do with a crown that might go over the tooth or not because not every tooth that receives a root canal is going to be crowned. Root canals can go wrong for different reasons: an accesory canal the specialist couldn’t get while working on the tooth, the specialist prepped the canal too short or too long, etc… The price varies from state to state and also depends on the practice. Usually here in Florida they are around 1300 and 1500. Good luck with your root canal!!!

Interesting – You did not mention how you know you need a root canal. If it is a professional diagnosis then ask your treating dentist and get a quote from others on how much it will cost to have the root canal done and is it only one canal that needs doing ? And what about the related expense of crown etc.. it adds up! How long do they last? How long is a piece of string ? Fingers crossed Dr Albert is correct.

On average a root canal is around $1500. I payed a little over 300. Don’t forget to factor in exams, xrays..etc. I would encourage to visit this site: http://www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 3 years ago now for all my dental needs. They have saved me thousands of dollars for all services. Root canals, exams, xrays, cleanings…etc. They even had my benefits active in 2 hours and was able to use them the same day. Good Luck and hope this Helps.
