indefinitely actually. however if youve no tooth there ..the longer you wait, the more your other teeth will compensate and begin to separate to fill in that empty space.

they have hallowed out your tooth putting only a temp fill in there, the tooth will eventually break an be un save-able i would not wait longer then 2-4 weeks see if your dental provider will break up your payment crowns are always a two part procedure that requires two or sometimes three visits so you can pay each time you come in..

Don't wait too long. Teeth that have Root Canals tend to become brittle and can break, causing other issues with the tooth. I would recommend you schedule for at least the post and core 8 weeks after the RCT, but not longer. The post and the core will at least help in maintaining the strength of the tooth. This will also buy you some time so you can pay for the crown. Ask the dentist when you go for the post, what is the maximum time he recommends for when to start the crown. At the same time, ask if you can pay as you go along so that it's easier on your pocket. Best of luck to you!
