What are some things I can do to relieve pain from an abscessed tooth? I’ve tried Orajel and that’s not working. I’ve also tried rinsing my mouth with hot salt water and using a hot compress.. it worked the first time but its not now. Any other ideas?

See a dentist ASAP. You probably need to be on antibiotics so that toxins don’t build up and go thru to the rest of your body.
There are 2 types of “abscesses,” both hurt and swell almost the same way.
A GUM abscess can be cleaned out, medicated, and heal up. Caused by food getting caught in the gum pocket or heavy root calculus.
A TOOTH abscess means a root canal, or nerve removal, because the nerve is infected.
See a DDS soon and good luck.

Try cool water. This can relieve gas pressure in the tooth that is pressing on the nerve.
