How Can I Get Rif Of My Abscessed Tooth, Without Going To The Dentist?

I can’t afford to go to the dentist at the moment, and I have an abscessed tooth. It doesnt hurt alot but my mouth is really swollen. How can I either get rid of the abscess, or make she swelling go down?

Ginger, there are two kinds of abscessed teeth. There are those that must be removed because of extensive tooth decay or fracture and there are those that can be saved with a root canal treatment. I would strongly encourage you to save your tooth if at all possible. Antibiotics will help get the infection under control but that is a temporary measure. Try to see a dentist as soon as possible and let them know your financial situation. Hopefully you will be able to find someone that will work with you.

try warm salt water to help swelling and pain. Get an electric toothbrush and water pik. If it’s not getting better then, then, you definitely need a dentist to fix it because they can cause infections that spread to the body and to the heart.

The problem with an abscess is the infection and if left untreated may make you really sick. You can take Motrin for the pain and swelling but that tooth needs to come out and you need antibiotics.
