Does Anyone Know A Home Remedy For And Abscessed Tooth?

Hi. My husband’s tooth is infected and we can’t afford health insurance. So, if anyone knows a good home remedy or a good over the counter medicine (that actually works) please let me know. Thanks.

He really needs to see a dentist or doctor immediately, regardless of your insurance situation. An abscess, by definition, is a localized collection of pus, which consists of dead inflammatory cells and bacteria. These types of infections, especially those in the mouth, can spread via the bloodstream to different areas of the body, most notably the heart. In the heart, bacteria can form vegetations on the valves, which is known as bacterial endocarditis. It causes heart murmurs and other problems that prevent your heart from functioning normally. It can also lead to systemic problems via further spread through the bloodstream.
Your husband NEEDS to be treated soon so that he won’t develop further detrimental effects to his health. Usually, the healthcare provider will drain the abscess and prescribe an antibiotic, so it’s not going to be too expensive anyway. However, if the abscess goes untreated, your costs could increase exponentially.
Also, I would highly recommend getting an affordable health insurance plan. It will save you money in the long run, and you’ll have your health to show for it. Good luck!

If you have a terrible toothache and cannot get to a dentist right away, put a capful of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it for ten minutes several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.

the best thing I can suggest is “whole cloves”. wrap a clove in a piece of tissue and put it in or around the tooth that he is having pain in, leave it there for at least 30-60 minutes or overnight…..it has worked for me several times when I cant get to a dentist….another option is to find a dentist that will put you on a payment plan. I realize dental bills can get very pricey, from experience. good luck!

This is a serious situation and needs to be taken
care of by a dentist now! Don’t wait, it will only get worse
if you do! Find a dentist that will let you make payments.

Swish with salt water (VERY salty) to help kill germs but if he has an actual abscess (infection encapsulated under the tissue of the gums) he MUST be seen immediately and begin antibiotic treatment.
    People die from abscessed teeth.
Your state has free (”State”) hospitals and can provide IV antibiotics immediately; the tooth cannot be extracted until the infection is under control.
Again, people DIE from abscessed teeth. Remember the little kid in the news recently?
If the area is swollen/painful/exudes pus he MUST be seen by an ER doctor.
    Good Luck, and God bless.

there is none, he needs antibiotics and then to have it removed, it could kill him, borrow the money from someone and get him to a dentist.

an abscessed tooth is an infection and the only thing that will work is an antibiotic. Nothing over the counter is going to work this time. sorry! Can he use a credit card and go to the dentist? that’s what we do! LOL.
    Good luck!

Rince as oftain as possible with warm salty water this will help drain the abscess. Keep the tooth and mouth as clean as possible. You really need to get medical help eg. antibiotic and further treatment.

You cannot get rid of an abscess without seeing a dentist.
If left untreated, the infection may spread throughout the body and reach the brain where death is almost certain.
You need to see a dentist so he or she can prescribe the right antibiotic for your husband.
So my answer is: he most likely needs an antibiotic from a dentist.
Most dentists will offer you payment plans to meet your financial needs.
    Hope this helps.

The abscess is an infection. It needs to be treated with antibiotics. Left untreated it could result in death. Bite the bullet this time.

An abscess will not go away on its own without cause severe damage…..especially in the teeth. It is Proven that bad teeth can cause heart disease. He needs antibiotics soon.

Oh my! If he has an abscess, he needs antibiotics, badly! Tooth infections can be severe and even cause death!
Call a good dentist that will allow you to pay him out, in payments! There are several who will work with you but, his life is more important than money so, get him in as fast as you can!
