If the tooth hasn’t cracked below the gumline or into the root, I’m willing to bet your dentist will recommend crowning the tooth. A crown is wear they cover the entire tooth to protect it from braking again. If it has cracked into the nerve, you will likely need a root canal, then a post and core and then a crown to save the tooth – a costly and lengthy procedure. Usually if the tooth has cracked below the gumline they will recommend the tooth be extracted.
The good news is it’s a 2nd bicuspid – further back in your mouth. If you can’t afford the necessary dental treatment, or have to have an extraction, then your next step is to get a spacer. The spacer will hold the space while the area heals because your teeth will want to shift to fill the hole. You can get a bridge to fill the space – this is where they crown the two teeth on either side of the extraction site, with a fake tooth attached to each crown – like a bridge.

Get to the dentist now. You will not be able to keep it as clean as you think and you certainly don’t want an abscess.

Just as everyone says, its true it works.
Keep it in milk it keeps the tooth healthy and strong yet still keeps it white!!!

You can use a tooth mousse. The brand is GC Fuji, its a Japanese innovation, you can apply this on all of your teeth to have them protected. BTW it is only available in some dental clinics. try to go to the pharmacy just to be sure. mine was given by my Japanese dentist, Dr. Kankouro

I think it can be saved. You might have a cavity causing weakness and the tooth to break. If not, you can have the dentist cap it with a zirconium and porcelain cap and it won’t break any more. Make sure they take x rays to see what’s going on deep in the tooth roots.

you can buy from the chemist an emergency dental syringe that is filled with a temporary solution to fill the tooth, also a company online called life-systems sell them for hikers etc and also emergency household supplies. That will stop it letting food in for you. You just press the syringe to fill the cavity and it hardens.
I don’t know if the tooth can be saved sorry but i did know how to do that.I think t is called an emergency dental kit.It will put you on.

It seems the filling came out again and food is getting into that space.
If it is left that way it will definitely get infected as bacteria in the saliva will get into the open tubules of the tooth .To save the tooth open tubules needs to be sealed.
The key is there should be sufficient tooth structure to support .
It seems like there is no support for the filling that means tooth does not have sufficient surfaces for retention .
Sometimes dentist tries to retain the filling using a small pin called dowel pins or slot prepration in cavity design.
Other option is RCT and crown if the x-rays show nerve is involved and there is caries free hard and healthy tooth that can be used for crown prep.
